Garden Gnomes

Well, we have officially broken ground on the garden spot! Hannah is so excited! We are still in the early phases of development, but it is coming together nicely. We have about a 20 by 10 foot area and are clearing out the grass to one foot below yard level. We are then going to pour a curb around it to keep all future grass from arriving. My hopes with the new garden are to teach my children where vegetables come from and how we need to work to get them. We are going to try a completely organic system. I have been researching organic pesticides and we are going to give those a shot. I hope to plant Marigolds around the perimeter to keep some bugs out and strategically plant others to grow best. I hope it works and the girls don't get too bored with it too early! Wish me luck!
